It’s been a long week forWendy Williamsin the news, and she knows it.
“Long week,” Williams said at the beginning of her Hot Topics segment onTheWendy WilliamsShow, dropping a throat lozenge into her coffee cup.
She also reminded her “co-hosts” that she would be taking a pre-scheduled break next week. “We are on vacation for seven days,” she said. “We will be back the following Monday.”

Williams had been absent from her eponymous daytime talk program from January until March 4, attributing the hiatus toa fractured shoulder and her battle with aGrave’s disease, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid.
The outlet reported that at the hospital, Williams was given a banana bag, which is abag of IV fluidsused as a treatment for vitamin and electrolyte deficiencies in patients with chronic alcohol use. The bag often contains thiamine, folic acid, magnesium and sulfate.
A representative for Williams did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Despite this, nothing appeared to be amiss when Williams hosted her talk show Wednesday and Thursday.
On March 19, she revealed on-air that she’d beenliving in a sober house.
“You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in the past,” she said onTheWendy WilliamsShow. “I never went to a place to get treatment … there are people in your family, it might be you … I want you to know more of the story.”
She added that her husband Kevin Hunter was the only person who knew she was seeking treatment.

Earlier this month,Williams addressed rumorsthat have been swirling about her marriage, proudly saying at the time that she was still wearing her diamond sparkler.

“I want to shout-out to my husband. I’m still wearing my ring,” she said on her March 4 show. “Believe me you, when you’ve been with somebody for 28 years, married for 25 years … we know each other. He’s my best friend, he’s my lover. … I know what you’ve been seeing .. but hunty, let me show you who I fell in love with and who he fell in love with.”
A decades-old photo of the couple popped onto the screen, and the crowd went wild.
“I’m still very much in love with my husband and anyone who’s been married … you know.”
“Marriages have ebbs and flows, marriage isn’t easy. And don’t ask me about mine until you see this gone,” she added, gesturing to her wedding ring. “And it ain’t going anywhere, not in this lifetime.”

Williams and Hunter (who was reportedly born in Ontario, Canada) met at a skating rink in 1994 and married three years later. The pair later welcomed their son, Kevin Jr., in 2000.
It has long been rumored that Hunter has had a decade-long affair with a massage therapist, though Williamsbrushed off those rumorsin September 2017.
