Inan Instagram postshared afterKeith’s death on Mondayat the age of 62, the actor and fellow country singer, 56, posted a carousel of photos to Instagram paying tribute to the man he called “brother.”
The carousel included the cover art of both of their debut albums, which were released on the same day in 1993, and a black and white image of Keith staring off into the distance while wearing a cowboy hat that obscured his face.
“He was a maverick. He did things his way, on his terms, a true artist,” McGraw said of the “My List” singer. “I always have and always will have tremendous respect for his artistry, dedication and fearlessness to do his thing.”
McGraw signed off the tribute saying, “We all will miss you, brother.”
