There’s a new Mann in town!
The Voiceseason 2 finalistChris Mannand wife Laura welcomed their second child, son Rocky Conor Mann, on Monday, Jan. 11, in Los Angeles, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. The newborn weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz., and measured 20 inches in length.
Chris tells PEOPLE that their 3-year-old son Hugo chose the moniker for the new addition.
The birth was a bit “dramatic,” says the new dad of two, recounting how they were face to face with their new son within minutes of making it to the hospital. In fact, he was nearly born in the car on the way. “It was straight out of a movie,” Chris says. “We were just trying to take it easy at home when Laura’s labor went from zero to 100 in about an hour.”
Since Laura had a long labor with her first son, she tried convincing herself she was just feeling early labor pains. “Our bags weren’t even packed,” Laura says, “Chris shoved some stuff in a bag and threw it in the car.”
“I was driving like James Bond — if he were driving an ambulance while having a panic attack,” adds Chris. “I was honking the horn with the flashers on, waving my hands out the window while Laura was literally crowning in the passenger seat.”

Upon arrival at the hospital, Laura, 38, gave birth in an operating room almost immediately as there were no delivery rooms available. “It was like anERepisode,” Chris recalls. “The nurses were incredible. It was controlled chaos.”
“I was overwhelmed,” Chris continues. “Laura was in so much pain and that’s scary to watch. … She was a champion. There’s no way I could ever do it.”

Chris and Lauratied the knotin a private garden overlooking the mountains in Malibu, Calif., in July 2013. After the ceremony at Maravilla Gardens, guests enjoyed a fiesta-themed party complete with Latin music, margaritas and even churro flavored cupcakes. The theme was based on the Mexican restaurant, El Centro, in New York where the pair met seven years before the wedding. (They were engaged in summer 2012.)
“It is our favorite place on earth and all of our friends over the last seven years with us know this is our spot. So it was only appropriate to recreate this El Centro love that we have in our California way,” Chris told PEOPLE at the time.
