In the final season ofSuccession, Macfadyen, 49, returned as Tom Wambsgans opposite his on-again, off-again spouse Shiv Roy (Sarah Snook).
“Thank you so much. I just adored every second playing the weird and wonderful human grease stain that is Tom Wambsgans … Tom Wambsgans CEO — God help us,” he joked in his speech on Sunday.
“My love, thanks, and admiration to [creator] Jesse Armstrong as always,” he added. “And to all our extraordinary writers, I’m too shared to named them all ‘cause I’ll forget them all, and I won’t sleep. To Adam McKay, to Francine Maisler, HBO, to all our wonderful directors and producers and, of course, our gorgeous crew and cast, who I miss very much. Thank you.”

The English actor toldDeadlinethat he was thrilled to get the opportunity to have an American accent on screen, explaining, “I’d wanted to do an American accent in something. I’d gone through pilot season hell once, and it wasn’t fun. Even if you’re known, if you haven’t done an American accent in something, people won’t put you in front of the networks.”
He previously won an Emmy for his role onSuccessionin 2022. The drama series’ final seasonscoredthe most television nominations with nine total at Sunday’s Golden Globes.

Crudup, 55, opened up about bringing the fast-talking character to life on an episode of NPR’sFresh Airin September, saying, “There is an incredible joy playing that character when I have enough time to prepare so I’m not stumbling over the words ‘cause he doesn’t stumble, and he gets through those paragraphs in a single breath. And it’s been a totally life-changing experience.”
HisMorning Showrole earned him an Emmy for supporting actor in 2020 and a Golden Globe nomination for supporting actor in 2022.

For the Amazon Freevee showJury Duty, Marsden played a heightened version of himself.
The 50-year-old actor previously told PEOPLE that he and unsuspecting comedy subject Ronald Gladden havestayed friendssince Gladden learned that everyone but him was a paid actor on the series.
“It was really important to me, I was like, ‘I can’t end this and then go, ‘Hey bud, that was fun, see ya,'” Marsden said. “If we’re really celebrating the guy, then we got to stay pals. And he’s such a pure-hearted human being — I’d want to be friends with him anyway.”
Jury Dutywas also among this year’s best musical or comedy television series nominees.

Moss-Bachrach, 46, has emerged a fan favorite as Richie, the lovable screwup cousin who ascended to become the manager of the show’s namesake restaurant on season 2 ofThe Bear.
TheGirlsalum revealed what he likes most about the character, tellingNMEin July, “I’m someone who’s fairly self-critical. And I center myself a lot. So I really admire Richie’s sort of blithe ability to just let it rip.”
He continued, “He says everything as he feels it and as it comes — I’d like a little bit more of that in my life.”
The Bearscored a total of five nominations for this year’s Golden Globes, including one for comedy series and one for lead actor and fellow “Cousin"Jeremy Allen White.

TheSpin Cityalum shared how he sees the character after playing the role for four seasons, telling theLos Angeles Times, “He’s not dumb but he’s marching to a beat that nobody else can hear but him.”
“In the audition, I had to say, ‘Pop, there’s this job that I want. It’s called President of the United States.’ And I said, ‘Oh, he’s putting the old man on, right?’” he continued. “And [executive producer] Adam McKay responded: ‘No, he’s deadly serious.’ So I know right away that this was a guy that suffers from delusional disorder. He’s in his 50s and has never worked a day in his life. How did he wind up here?”

Skarsgård joinedSuccessionin season 3 as billionaire tech CEO Lukas Matsson.
The 47-year-old actor gave insights into what he knew about Lukas from the show’s creator Jesse Armstrong before taking on the role.
“I knew broadly before we started about how Lukas would see an opening, a little rift between the brothers and Shiv. Lukas is a predator, and in that moment he’ll see an opportunity and he’ll pounce,” he toldTheWrapin May. “I think that’s been part of his success story, that he can read people and he can feel when he has an opportunity like this where she might be open to this and then he will go in full force.
