After canceling Thanksgiving because she was “turkeyed out,” the lifestyle mogul, 82, helped prepare a stunning Christmas dinner at her friends' home.
The cookbook author posted photos from her pals' house in Millbrook, N.Y., which is not far from Stewart’s home in Bedford, N.Y. HostsChristopher SpitzmillerandAnthony Bellomotransformed their Hudson Valley farm into a festive spot for Christmas dinner. But, of course, Stewart still helped out in the kitchen.

According to her Instagrampost, Stewart prepared a rib roast for Christmas dinner. With the help of Pat LaFrieda to get the “best” meat for the festive meal, the businesswoman made a seven rib roast for her gathering.
The roast was served alongside corn pudding, caviar, Brussels sprouts, Yorkshire pudding and a radicchio pomegranate salad. To finish off the meal, the crew enjoyed a Yule log (or bûche de Noël).

Unlike other years, Stewart’s relatives were not in New York. Her daughter Alexis and grandkids Truman and Jude spent the holidays in Japan, according to Stewart’s Instagram Story, but were sure to send Stewart photos from their ski trip.

Stewart originally revealed onThe Kelly Clarkson Showthat she canceled her plans to host a Turkey Day meal. Instead she visited different friends' homes for the holiday.
“Igave up Thanksgiving. I canceled,” said Stewart. “Nine guests canceled because somebody got sick. So … I called up my chef friend and I said, ‘We’re not doing Thanksgiving.’ "

Stewart laterclarifiedthat she didn’t mean to imply that the whole holiday be canceled — just her dinner plans.
“What I canceled was the planned gathering at my house due to guest cancellations and new travel plans!” she said in a post.
She eventually did celebrate the holiday — andbaked a whopping 30 piesover the span of two days for the occasion.

Stewart has always loved Christmas. Apostrecently shared to her Facebook account revealed a sweet photo of Stewart celebrating Christmas at age 14.
The caption added that the cookbook author’s Christmas holiday as a kid included fun photo-ops and “was always a day filled with a flurry of activity, from baking and cooking to decorating and gifting.”
