Michael Keaton tells the L.A. Timesthat he was n’t as happy with Batman Returns as with his first Batman movie . And then he had second thought about doing a third movie . Here ’s why :
“ I knew we were in bother in talk of the town for the third one when certain the great unwashed started the conversation with ‘ Why does it have to be so dark ? ’ ‘ Why does he have to be so depressed ? ’ ‘ Should n’t there be more colour in this thing ? ’ I know I was head for trouble and that it was n’t a route I was conk out to go down . ”
