Fortune is reporting that Joe Britt and Matt Hershenson , co - founders of Danger , have joined Google and Andy Rubin , the other Danger Colorado - founder , to work on a new backstage within Android call ‘ Android Hardware ’ . That means Danger , the company that made the uber - popular , original Sidekick , is back together at Google .
So does that mean the Danger folks will begin building real Google phones ( we ’re not babble out about link ) ? Not on the nose . Fortune says :
They narrate me they spend their days building thing that will turn into reference designs for Android peripherals . Android Hardware is exploring everything from household mechanization to do gambling and robotics . While there are no immediate plans to build Google - brand Android hardware accessories , Brit indicated that he would love to see Google inclose some of its own Android peripherals in the long term .
