“I’m looking forward to being a mother of two girls as I have one older sister myself. We still do everything together, support one another and I even still borrow all of her clothes!” the actress shares.
Ruiz also shared a few sweet photos with PEOPLE, including one where the newly minted family of four poses together in shades of white and light pink as they sit together on a bench. Ruiz holds her newborn daughter, who has an adorable white floral headband on.

Ruiz’s pregnancy, which sheconfirmed in December2020, came one year afterexperiencing a miscarriage.
“Since my miscarriage last fall,” she told PEOPLE that December, “I had a new perspective on my health as a woman ready to start a family. I focused on my mental and physical health while we were trying again. When COVID-19 took over the world, we were weary of trying again, but decided to continue in faith. Six months later, we were pregnant.”
“Philip and I are so thrilled and grateful to God for this new chapter in our lives,” Ruiz added at the time. “We have been focusing on the positivesof staying safe in isolationwhile sharing our pregnancy journey with family, friends and fans in new, virtual ways.”
