Foursquare’s Monopoly App Might Actually Make the Service Fun

I can see the voltage with Foursquare , do n’t get me ill-timed — but I do reckon at the bit it ’s missing a few vital ingredients . One of them being , err , “ fun”—but this Monopoly tie - in could be just the caper .

Handshake magazinespoke with Jonathan Crowley ( I ’m reckon he ’s a sexual congress to father Dennis Crowley ) , who mention the Monopoly app which they ’re working on at the import . As it has n’t been formally announce yet , it ’s not known whether Foursquare ’s actually inked a deal with Hasbro for name - rights . It could just be a “ Monopoly - way ” plot , where you and a bunch of booster compete to log into as many locus on a tilt as possible , with Crowley only mentioning the board - biz name to well explicate it .

Crowley say in the video that “ Everyone has fake cash of £ 3000 or so , and when you check into a venue , if nobody has checked in before , you could buy it , ” and as the real Monopoly game is wo nt to do , you could then bill rent to those who make bold mark into that venue . And then throw all the phoney money into the melodic phrase and mess up all the hotels , houses and gamepieces when you mislay . Not that I do that . Ahem .
