Cameron DiazandBenji Maddenhave expanded their family!
The couple, whomarried in January 2015, has welcomed a second child together. Diaz, 51, and Madden, 45, announced the birth of their son, Cardinal, in an Instagram post on Friday.
The announcement included a drawing that read, “A little bird whispered to me.” Diaz and Madden are also parents to daughterRaddix, who wasborn on December 30, 2019.
The surprise reveal was met with support from family members like Benji’s brotherJoel Madden, who commented “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” andPete Wentzwho wrote, “✨✨✨.”
Back when Raddix was 2 years old, Diaz shared on an episode of theGOOP’s podcast that becoming a motherchanged her “whole concept of aging.”

“It’s totally opened up. I’m excited. I’ve got 50 or 60 years to go — I want to live to be 110, since I’ve got a young child. I think you have this amazing moment in your 40s where you appreciate who your parents are, and I want to have that moment with her — be there with her in her 40s,” Diaz said.
Last October, the actress shared withJimmy Fallonon his late-night talk show thatMadden is the “best dad.”
“He’s like, Benj at home, being the best dad ever and running all of his businesses, and then he just gets up there and he’s like, ‘Yeah, all right, pyro! Pfft,” said Diaz of seeing Madden perform on stage.
The movie star said on her October 2023 appearance onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonthat Madden also loves to sing to their daughter.

“Yeah, he makes up — he has, honestly, I’m like, ‘Why don’t we just…you need to do a kids’ album,’ because he has the best songs,” the star says. “They play in my head all the time because he sings them to her and she knows the words. And it’s the sweetest thing ever. It really is. It’s so…it kills me.”
