Tyreese has a nice , subtle minute with his new gal pal , who wants to take things slow . Carol brings a dying father his two girl to say goodbye and then , clearly compensating for the departure of Sofia , taste to teach the kids how to defend themselves , which includes attempt to get two new girls to stab their just dead father in the fountainhead . As for the characters we know — all of whom we like for possibly the first time ever : Carol talks to Carl , asking him not to state Rick about her denial classes . Think about how many foes The Walking Dead has now ! There are the zombi at the logic gate . The pest . The fashion plate who keeps feed in rats to the zombies and attract them ( we have to assume it ’s the Governor , but something tells me that ’s too obvious for new showrunner Scott Gimple ) . And while I thought that Tyreese ’s Lass had set herself on fire after the blood protrude pouring from her face holes , the “ Next On ” segment designate Tyreese certainly consider someone did this to them . Is he refusing to acknowledge the trueness ? Or is it the same soul who ’s yield the zombies strikebreaker - snacks ?
Every scene in “ Infected ” give us novel data , either about the plot of land or the graphic symbol . • So many great image in the episode : The zombi feasting on the rat . Sick Nerd Zombie , slow sitting up in the bathroom . The zombie ’s principal getting pushed through the fence like Play - Doh . Rick getting a faceful of sloven rip . The burned consistence .
• Carol is obviously overcompensating for Sofia ’s fate , but I do n’t know whether the show is set us up for “ Carol ’s willingness to take the harsh realness of the earth will svae the day ” or “ Carol ’s worked up scars regarding her daughter is go to put the prison ’s tyke in risk ” but I am genuinely concerned to find out . That ’s a zombie - Revelation treatment worth having .
• Here ’s how I know “ Infected ” was neat TV : When Rick ’s gambit with the pigs made me cringe — not just for the pigs , but for Rick . Gimple and the director did not shrink from show what Rick had to do to trace the zombie by , and Andrew Lincoln did a wondrous task conveying Rick ’s vortex of emotion — repugnance , determination , self - doubt , desire to have himself crack , but force himself to hold it together . This is not a tantrum that the earlier three seasons of The Walking Dead could have pulled off at all . It would have just been Rick throw away off pigs , stone - faced , and then going back to squall at Ghost Lori some more .
